One of the fundamental underlying principles of AE Publications is that we are passionate about education. In light of this, every educational book we produce and sell must be of the highest standard educationally. We will not use ‘writing teams’ to throw together material just so we have something to sell. All our books are meticulously thought through, and go through an extremely rigorous process of writing and editing before being printed in final draft format and tested for a full academic year within our Tuition Centre in Slough. It is only after these books have been worked through and ‘re-edited’ by both the staff and children at the Tuition Centre that we allow the books to go into final production, be published and released for sale to the wider public.

We will not compromise on this process, as we believe in selling books of the highest possible standard in the market place. If it means that we are ‘last to market’ with books on a particular subject, then that is fine with us, as long as the books themselves are of the best possible quality.

From the moment we knew that many grammar school areas were changing from the GL Assessment style tests to the CEM style exams, we geared ourselves up for action to respond to these changes. We have reworked and added to our series of Year 5-7 Verbal Reasoning workbooks (renaming them Verbal Activity) so the content also completely covers what is required for the verbal ability component of the CEM 11+ exams. We have added 3 new non-verbal reasoning workbooks into our non-verbal reasoning series (workbook 3 will cover 3D rotation). Maths workbook 7 is a useful addition to our maths series and contains a complete revision section as well as how to use mathematical instruments. We are publishing 3 new workbooks on semantics (synonyms, antonyms and homonyms) and the first in a series of comprehension workbooks.
