This bundle comprises all eight workbooks and both testbooks in the Key Stage 2 Maths Year 4/5 series. The workbooks teach mathematical and numerical reasoning technique. Each technique has a clear explanation, with a worked example, followed by plenty of practice questions. The testbooks give extra practice in the techniques contained in the maths workbooks.

The Key Stage 2 Maths series covers mathematical technique for SATs, GL Assessment and CEM 11+ exams, CATs, the Northern Ireland Transfer Test, Common Entrance and scholarship examinations for independent schools, and all other styles of mathematical test.

The workbooks are designed to be used in sequence from Workbook 1 onwards.

The testbooks contain timed tests and are designed to be used in conjunction with the KS2 Maths workbooks as an additional learning tool.

After completing this bundle, the maths testpack should be used for final exam preparation. The testpack is not included in this bundle and must be purchased separately.

Answers, Progress Charts and a Certificate of Achievement are included at the end of every book.

Workbooks

Our ‘how to’ workbooks are step-by-step guides that will take you and your child through:

Your child or student should start at the beginning of Workbook 1 and work through a series in order. Ideally, each series should be worked through over the course of an academic year.

Testbooks

Our testbooks should be used alongside the workbooks, as they reinforce the techniques taught. They contain shorter tests that are ideal for daily use or regular practice.

Testpacks

The testpacks should be used as final exam preparation. These contain practice papers which simulate the format and content of the exams and may be completed as standard or multiple-choice tests.

How to Use

The workbooks contain stepped-out examples, with full explanations. The testbooks will reinforce a child’s technique and knowledge and should be used alongside the workbooks. The testpacks should be used after the workbooks and testbooks for final exam preparation.
